With Ismo, Sami Kallio drew inspiration from architecture, especially from brutalism, which emphasizes minimalist elements and raw materials. Inspired by brutalism, Sami Kallio aimed to create a piece of furniture that functions like a building or a room within a room. He incorporated architectural elements such as roofs, walls, spaces, and openings into the design of Ismo, carefully selecting materials and colors to ensure that the product's character stands strong on its own.
Thanks to Ismo's versatile design, the table is ideal for a wide range of uses. It can function as an elegant side table in the living room or as a practical bedside table in a hotel room. A special feature of the design is that the table appears closed from the front and open from the side, adding an extra layer of refinement to the design.
